Faber Group introduces new footprint calculator for all its pooling systems
The circular pooling pallets and boxes of Faber Group are the best choice regarding sustainability compared to market alternatives such as one-way pallets. They support our customers in realizing their sustainability ambitions in their supply chains.
IPP and PRS had already developed online calculators to provide more insight into the footprint reduction of our load carriers, estimating the potential savings in CO2 reduction, energy and raw materials. As a next step, Faber Group now introduces a footprint calculator for all its divisions to show these insights, covering both our closed and open pooling solutions. The underlying data and variables of the calculators are coming from four Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) studies we conducted for each division. These LCA studies quantify the footprint of a load carrier from production until end-of-life. They are based on the international ISO14040/44 guidelines and peer reviewed by a group of experts.
The online calculator can be found on the homepage of our divisional websites of IPP, PRS, PAKi and vPOOL. The user only needs to enter the type and quantity of pallets used to see the footprint reduction of our pooling pallets versus market alternatives – based on an average European travel distance. To make the results more tangible, the data is translated into more concrete metrics such as the number of trees saved, vehicle kilometres driven or the equivalent emission in airline travel.
After completing the calculator the user can share his business details, so we can get in touch to provide a more tailored insight into the opportunities we can offer with our circular load carriers.
The new CO2 calculator is already live on the website of IPP Pooling, the other division websites will follow in the next few weeks.
